Howard Glasser
Howard Glasser is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Science Education at Bryn Mawr College.

Joan Runnheim Olson
Joan Runnheim Olson has worked in various venues to encourage non-traditional career
paths. As an assessment/placement specialist for a pre-apprenticeship training program
for women, Joan helped women break into and succeed in male-dominated jobs in the
trades. As a contractor working on a Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional
Occupations (WANTO) grant from the Department of Labor, she helped move more women
into the auto service industry. An internationally certified career/leadership coach,
Joan travels throughout the U.S. to present workshops to secondary and post-secondary
educators, counselors, administrators, and career center staff and teaches them
strategies to recruit and retain students in classes and programs which prepare
them for non-traditional careers. She serves as an expert blogger on non-traditional
careers for the Career Thought Leaders Blog published by the Career Thought Leaders
Consortium, a think tank of career industry leaders working collaboratively to support
career practitioners, job seekers, and career-minded professionals worldwide. Joan
