New State RFA

Dear Colleagues,

The National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity Education Foundation is seeking three additional states to participate in the STEM Equity Pipeline Project starting October 1, 2009.

The STEM Equity Pipeline Project will be working with 13 states over 5 years to increase the capacity of individuals in the state who conduct science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) professional development to integrate research based best practices on increasing the participation of women and girls in STEM into their existing training work. We will be working through the leadership of the career and technical education systems in each of the states to build state teams of STEM related organizations conducting professional development with teachers. The states that have participated so far include CA, IA, IL, OK, MN, MO, and WI. In addition to technical assistance and training provided to state teams the project will maintain a web-based virtual learning community and conduct webinars and webcasts on gender equity strategies in STEM that will be available nationwide.

Download the application as a Microsoft Word document for three new states to join the project in year three. The application timeline is as follows:

Application due July 15, 2009
